SSTB can now offer online exams

SSTB can now offer online exams at ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL2018).  This means that you can conduct your exam remotely, at home or in a place where you can work individually.
You use your laptop or desktop to read and answer the exam questions and the proctor instructs and monitors via your webcam.  The exam time is the same as exam in a classroom (onsite).  The difference is that there are limitations in the use of assistive devices; no aids are allowed in SSTB's online examinations.

  • In SSTB's online exams, the proctor does not have access to your computer and thus cannot see or change anything in his own way, except for your screen.
  • In SSTB's online examinations you can communicate with the exam guard in Swedish or English.

  Some basic requirements

  • You should have a laptop or desktop with webcam and microphone
  • Chrome should be installed as a browser
  • You should be able to read, edit and save Word documents (.docx)
  • You should be alone in a room with a closed door
  • Your desk should be empty except for the computer equipment
  • Other tools are not allowed

Is Model-Based Testing right for you?

Model-based testing is an innovative testing approach to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the test process. A model-based tester on a project uses models to drive test analysis and design, and keeps advantage of the models for other testing activities, such as test implementation and reporting.

ISTQB Model-based Tester certification complements the core foundation level as a specialist module. It provides a practical and easy entry to the MBT approach.

As there are updates of some testing terms there is a connection to the new Glossary 2.2

To ensure a smooth transition between the 2007 version and 2012 version, there will be a transition period during which the 2007 version will be phased out.
