As the most widely recognized and fastest-growing software testing certification organization in the world ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) now has more than 800 000 certified testers in over 100 countries. SSTB is one of ISTQB's member boards. Besides in English, SSTB also offers a Swedish standard and Swedish testing certification according to the international standard.
Sunset date for CTFL 2018 English 2024-05-09
Courses, exams and re-exams for CTFL 2018 with English material will expire on 2024-05-09.
They are replaced with already existing CTFL 4.0.
(CTFL 2018 with Swedish material will expire on 2024-11-09)
Certificates for CTFL 2018 are still valid as they are lifelong.
Why choose training provider and a course that is accredited by ISTQB?
An ISTQB accredited training provider is someone who has extensive knowledge and experience in testing and can provide additional insight into test terminology and syllabus content to facilitate the achievement of ISTQB certification.
A course from an ISTQB-accredited training provider guarantees that the content covers all sections and parts according to the Syllabus and is therefore a good basis for your ISTQB examinations. The teacher is also certified, has knowledge of the current course and also has pedagogical skills.

SSTB exams
As an ISTQB member board, SSTB conducts examinations and certifications in most of the modules offered by ISTQB. Se product portfolio below.
SSTB conducts ISTQB examinations as follows:
- Immediately following a course conducted by accredited course holders. See the Calendar tab. All course holders always have an exam connected to their course
- Approximately once a month as an open exam in Stockholm and Göteborg. See Open SSTB Exams. There you can participate in any of the ISTQB examinations offered by SSTB. The exams are done on paper and the results are posted to the address you provided during the examination
- At the request of a group or a company. Please contact SSTB for agreement.
- You can also apply to an online exam. There you can choose among all of the ISTQB examinations offered by SSTB.

2014
To do an exam on ISTQB Advanced Level you must be certified on ISTQB Foundation level or equivalent (e.g. ISEB).
The certificate must be presented to the proctor before the exam can start. This procedure replaces the older registration and the approach is the same as for Agile Tester.
If you have lost your certificate, you can ask the organization that issued it for a new. Only that organization can issue a new certificate.

If you due to different reasons don't want to participate in a course by an ISTQB accredited training provider you can study by yourself, e.g. by reading the syllabus and books that are related to the syllabus or the exam.
Therefore SSTB has put together a list of books that can be used for self-studies or to improve your knowledge within the area of syllabus or exam.
Please be aware that SSTB is not responsible for the correctness of the contents. It is just a list of book that is on the market with orientation towards ISTQB.

System Verification has by SSTB 2014-10-05 been accredited as Training Provider for ISTQB Agile Tester with English material
The corresponding organization to SSTB in Denmark, DSTB, will in June 2015 arrange ISTQB General Assembly meeting.
In conjunction with these ISTQB GA meetings there used to be a test conference with wellknown speakers from the testing world who has a clear message.

SSTB arranges open exams in Kista 2014.-10-28.
You can do the exam in:
- Foundation Level, Swedish and English
- Agile Tester, Swedish and English
- Advanced Level Test Manger, Swedish and English
- Advanced Level Test Analyst, English
- Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst, English
Please not forthe exam on Agile Tester certificate on ISTQB Foundation Level is needed and should be presented to the invigilator before the exam starts.

SSTB now arranges ISTQB exam for Agile Tester in Gothenburg and Malmö 2014-10-14.
The exam will be in English or Swedish. The exam time is the same as for Foundation Level, 1 hour (1:15 if English is not your native language).
The exam consists of 40 multiple choice questions. 26 or more correct answers will pass the exam.
A prerequisite for participating the exam is that you have certificate on Foundation Level. The certificate must be presented to the invigilator.

Alten AB has today, 2014-07-01, been accredited as the first Training Provider for ISTQB Agile Tester with course material in English by SSTB.

ISTQB has released a new Syllabus, Agile Tester Foundation Extension
It is now possible for training providers to apply for accreditation for the course.
It will be a two-day course and after that SSTB will offer an exam with 40 questions in the same way as for Foundation Level.
Please note that to take the exam, you need a certificate on Foundation Level
